After watching you guys discuss amongst yourselves and a separate discussion between the administrative team, we believe it is for the best for the frequency of the week posts to go on hiatus. You guys have cycled through most of the frequencies many times over the years.
We're not in a position to add a moderator just for this board like CyberDad was, and since his hiatus/disappearance began prior to my taking over the site I have never had any correspondence with him. If he were to return, he'd be very welcome to continue in his role. But none of the admins have any time to lock threads at given intervals nor is there a way to automate closing only certain posts.
Also the posts seem to be taking up way too much of the bandwidth of this board which through my 3 decades of being heavily involved in the online radio community I've learned is also not conducive to introducing new posters. If you guys want to come up with new kinds of games/challenges such as trying to log a station from certain distances or collecting the entire alphabet in call letters that do not require a new thread every week, please come up with some.
I understand this will disappoint some posters and we get that, but until I have the chance to begin to consider software upgrades for the site that may enable better management of those posts, we can't place additional time or resources on just one board that was run with special circumstances.
