fresh 102.7

their is a brand new radio station out in new york and they are going to give 106.7 lite fm and 95.5 wplj and that radio station is called fresh 102.7 wfus mind you lite fm has been the number 1 radio station in new york for a very very long time because lite fm had no compision but move on over lite fm you have compision now and its called fresh 102.7 wfus fresh 102.7 plays more music and hardly very very little talk as for lite fm and wplj they talk more than they play music and the listeners wantg to hear a lot more music and a lot less talk also at fresh 102.7 you get to pick the music that they play as for lite fm and wplj the dj's pick the music plus fresh 102.7 play a huge variety of music for all ages also i know a lot of listeners who used to listen to lite fm have switched their radio station to fresh 102.7 because they know that fresh 102.7 is a whole lot better radio station than lite fm or wplj

First of all, the station is Fresh 102.7 WWFS. Secondly, Lite-FM personalities do not talk that much, as you claim they do. Yes, they talk slightly more than the DJs on Fresh, but the Fresh DJs barely speak at all... maybe five times an hour including the weather! Overall, I think Lite and Fresh play about the same amount of music per hour. As a matter of fact, according to Yes.com, Lite played thirteen songs in the 2PM hour, while Fresh played twelve. Fairly equal I would say.

Music on Fresh isn't "picked" by the listeners. They are taking polls to test some newer songs on their online player. I haven't heard many of those tested songs actually on Fresh. Lite-fm uses "Rate the Music" to get listeners' opinions on new songs as well. More often than not, such songs eventually appear on Lite's playlist. To my knowledge (and correct me if I'm wrong), DJs don't pick the music on Lite-fm, and they don't on Fresh either.

Say what you want about Lite vs. Fresh, but Lite-FM has a bigger playlist (not LOTS bigger, but definitely larger than that of Fresh, and you can check that on Yes.com), better personalities, and will probably still come out on top in the ratings.

SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT FRESH 102.7 AT FRESH HAS VERY LITTLE COMICALS NOT LIKE LITE FM THAT HAS WAY TOO MANY COMICALS NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR COMICALS THEY WANT TO HEAR MUSIC AND THATS ALL SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST JELIOUS THAT LITE FM HAS SOME COMPISION NOW DONT FORGET LITE FM HAS THE MOST MUSIC FOR NOW ONLY BECAUSE FRESH IS BRAND NEW ONCE THEY GET GOING THEY WILL HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF MUSIC EVEN MORE THAN LITE FM YOU JUST WAIT AND SEE PLUS FRESH PLAYS BETTER MUSIC THAN LITE FM DOES PLUS THEY PLAY A WHOLE LOT OF MUSIC THAT LITE FM NEVER DOES PLUS FRESH HAS VERY LITTLE REPEATS OF SONGS BUT LITE FM HAS A LOT MORE REPEAT SONGS THAN FRESH DOES I WILL PROBELY GIVE FRESH ABOUT A YEAR OR TWO AND THEN FRESH WILL REALLY BE TAKING OFF AND TAKING OVER THE NEW YORK RADIO MARKET

Fact is, Lite FM's playlist is much larger than Fresh's. Yes, Fresh may be playing some songs that Lite FM doesn't play, but it's a given that Lite FM has a much larger playlist than Fresh.

And it's competition, not compision. ::)

You must be very young.

:-\

I will have to see Fresh take over. I don't see it happening.

106.7 (not even Lite-FM anymore) has droplets of sweat rolling down their cheeks, but they should be able to withstand the charge Fresh has made. I think the NY audience is educated and will see through those silly Fresh commercials that play Debby Boone songs which everyone knows 106.7 doesn't play anymore.

Early ratings indicate a "small" drop in 106.7 listeners, but also that Fresh must be drawing listeners from elsewhere.

Its holding its own right now, but just like other stations before it, I am sure the candle will soon burn out.

Fresh 102.7 I live in nc now but I would not even bother with that station it will go through another format change soon.
And as for the call letters 102.7 stands for WNEW not fresh when the got rid of those call letters they killed a classic.
