Fresh 105.9 - How Much Longer?

Im not from the area but how much longer does CBS Radio plan on keeping them on air? They aren't performing the same as Fresh NY or Fresh DC. I could see them going till the end of the year and flipping early next year. Maybe even going Christmas this year before Lite FM. Then going into a flip after Christmas music.

Considering that CBS has got Jim Ryan, the ratings architect of Lite FM (WLTW) in NY, programming the Chicago station, I wouldn't expect any kind of flip just yet. To me, Lite seems to be the more vulnerable station here in town--although, of course, it won't be for the rest of the year when it goes all-Christmas within the next two weeks.

Fresh should get the jump on Christmas Music first before Lite

Oh, yeah--that strategy in Philadelphia sure cut B101 to its knees. What format did NOW 97.1 flip to after that?

now 97.5 not now 97.1

oh and BTW the first year sunny 104.5 did all x-mas it whipped b101.1 out of first place they where number 5 and sunny was #2

I remember hearing that the PD is giving Fresh a year to improve. Though, since Fresh still not making an impact, they might as well pull the plug right now and make it 105.9 The Score.

Of course, it may not be up to the PD. CBS could choose to pull the plug on Fresh beforehand. I think they will give it a bit more of a chance, but so far there's no sign of improvement. And if Jim Ryan can't fix the station's ratings, I'm not sure if anyone can.
