Fresh 965?

They're #1 in music and have been for years. Why would they change anything?

They wouldn't. With the possible exception of KGO and KCBS, the K-O-I-T call letters and the "Koit" (Coit) branding are the best known in Bay Area radio. Changing that would be stupid.

I thought CBS owned rights to the "Fresh" branding.

Actually, I believe that Entercom bought the rights to use "Fresh" in the Bay Area a year or more ago. So people started speculating that KOIT would become "Fresh 96.5." But other than using the word in some of their liners - "more fresh light rock coming up on KOIT..." - they never rebranded.

I figured they just bought the rights so nobody else could use Fresh in the Bay Area.

Again - KOIT is an established brand around here - "Fresh" means nothing, other than how you want your produce and dairy products to be.

I don't care what they call the station but get some new imaging. The currect imaging is old and ridiculously outdated.
