Look for Jim Kerr to do mornings soon with a former LITE jock.

JJ Kennedy will be Middays

Another unannounced NYC jock will be doing afternoons (formerly of Lite)

For now nights and overnights will be voice tracked.


Count on it. It's a done deal.
 
Another former Lite jock...Bill Buchner perhaps, who did mornings?

If they can at least get this lineup on the air, I think the station will be in solid shape, though I'm sorry to hear that neights and overnights will be voicetracked, though I'll take that over a canned syndicated AC show like John Tesh's.

Wait a second. Didn't Kerr just sign with Q104 last year? Are you telling me that JJ didn't have a "no compete" clause in her contract? I wouldn't be shocked to see some of the people LTW let go wnding up at 102.7 But Jim Kerr? Something doesn't seem right here.

Yes Jim Kerr is under contract but negociations are in progress to get him on Fresh down the road. In the mwan time a Former Lite jock will go solo. That's all i can say for now.

Funny you bring up Kim. She is one of several being looked at for voicetyracking nights or overnights.
 
Q104 recently posted their best numbers is 3 yrs.Mostly a 3 share and solid advertising,they rewarded Jim Kerr 2 year contract and I would assume that Shelli and Eric also got a nod.Why would he leave that high status high profile gig for a ''new''(lol) format.Even signing him for down the road means a different format by the time he joins!!!!Confused???? me 2!!!!!
 
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Kerr leaving is B.S., unless CBS ponied up a lot of money. And to be honest, I doubt they did. Kerr works well on Q104.3. I can't see him leaving a steady, solid gig like he has now to get on Radio Titanic.
 
I know who immediately pops into my head as (last I heard) available and who should work great in the format. Steven E Roy.
 
Is Rick Martini still the PD at 102.7 or did he get the axe too?
