Fresh1059.com ...

Upon going to that website, you get a redirection page to http://www.itm2057.com/ with the message, "Website Coming Soon... You are seeing this page because the DNS for this site was recently changed inorder to make the site live. DNS changes generally take 24 to 48 hours to fully propagate through the internet. Please check back...."

This is usually a prelude to whenever a new website for a CBS-owned station goes live (see: any of the Free-FM stations). My guess is that they will debut the new format - Fresh, not Christmas - on Monday morning after they simulcast the new Steve Dahl morning show on Jack-FM.

Meanwhile, the whois currently does not yet list the domain owner as CBS.

This would make perfect sense. Why not take advantage of the new format while WLIT is committed to Christmas music for the next two months?

It looks like WLIT was not the only one who was duped today. Both Chicago newspapers got fooled today as well! ;D

okay after a search, why are they being carried on both stations Monday?

I don't think it said that they were simulcasting anywhere. And anybody who has tuned to WCKG for more than 3 minutes this past week knows where Steve is going.

In terms of studios, given what Dahl was saying earlier this week, I don't think his studio, by this point, is even still hooked up to WCKG. Supposedly a new wire has been run between the Jack studio (which, as far as I know, is not the old main WJMK studio, which was/is being used for the HD2) on the 9th floor of Prudential and Steve Dahl's studio on the 10th floor, with the loop of Steve coming from the studio that used to house Garry, Stan & Terry, and Matt Dahl, and will presumably soon house Fresh.

Obviously there are ways around that, but still, is there any point to having even MORE Steve on 105.9?
