Two of those are not standard dayparts and would requre a custom daypart to be made in Maximiser...

now you have piqued my interest. please shoot me whatever you said that was so shamelessly censored as a private message.
I was postulating on who might be inquiring about the ratings for the country stations as 3 country jocks were either let go or quit. Best bet is Athena asking for the information.
Looks like KHGE did have some increase in the AM with the change on the morning show.
I was just stating some information I heard from some people in that building about the former morning personality and the type of personality was attached. I may have been a bit unkind in my vernacular.

Nevermind genuises..............I didn't know it was going to be that difficult to figure out, or even give an approximate comparision. Nor did I know my question would spark some sort of fishing expedition. I was just curious to see how the country stations did against one another.

My bad! Typing too fast for my fingers.......anyway any answers to my questions?

All righty,
I assume you meant Monday through Friday. Here it is:

5a-9a 4.7/Kiss, 1.3/KHGE (so much for music only mornings)
10a-3p 5.3/Kiss, 2.0/KHGE
5p-7p 4.6/Kiss, 1.9/KHGE

Hey, thanks a lot! Well I guess I can't say that I'm surprised. I just wanted to see if maybe KHGE was providing any compitition yet and I got my answer.

Truth be told, both country stations got a bit of a whipping this book. The book seems to be heavily hispanic. In the top ten, five stations were either spanish or heavily hispanic demographically.

How long can Clear Channel keep throwing good money after bad and keep Big Country alive? Who knows. It is tough to predict their next step. It's kind of like playing poker with a rich, mentally challenged fool. They stay in the game with a pair of two's because their rich and they don't know their holding a crappy hand.

That is so true and it's just not in this market that the Hispanic population had such a HUGE impact on. But it was going to happen eventually with the growth of Hispanics moving and living in the areas.

That is such a good analogy because I have been wondering what they would do with that station. They used to be so cut throat and would almost NOT give a station long enough to really draw some listeners before they flipped it or fired the talent. That is definitely not the case with Big Country. It will be interesting to see how long they let them flutter out in nowhere land...........20th in the market.

I agree completely. The real shame is that it is such a great signal being totally wasted. And, they even have some decent people in programming. It just shows the strength of the heritage status and how it affects diary holders. Almost certainly, country listeners listen to Kiss and Big Country. However, ask them and they will say they are Kiss listeners. And without heavy marketing, better cross-partnership between sales and programming, or Kiss Country just screwing the pooch, they really have no chance of ever changing that.
