Fresno Chhhaaannnges Soon Stay tuned!

So many rumors... so little time... is this the one about 96.7 going country? That's all Fresno needs... a 3rd country station.

Or maybe that 104.1 is finally getting blown up... would somebody please fix it or kill it already!

Also heard rumors about 97.1 flipping... but I don't think they're done yet... they just need to take it back to how it sounded before... the station lost it's biggest advantage... the latin feel.

Also... noticed in listening that La Kalle 107.9 sounds absolutely awful right now... sounds like the fine folks at Univision swapped processing with 107.5 (a station that doesn't even show up in the ratings)... I'm never suprised at the interesting things that happen in Fresno.

Well.. Alice moved to 96.7. Interesting that they will be on both 102.7 and 96.7 until 1/5. Not a bad idea in order to get listeners to preset the new frequency. What will be on 102.7??

Completely disagree here. 104.1 has not sound better for a couple years now. The new PD is known for programming alternative. They are much more agressive than they've been for years. She added artists that had been dropped like Tool and Korn and threw out the Matchbox 20 type stuff that had been in the music mix. They just need a better name than 104.1. Maybe go back to New Rock. Most people I know still call it that anyway.

Just blow it up!! They sound so amateur hour compared to B95. Revolving talent and management does not mean success. Y101 and La Kalle seem to have hurt this station as well.
Just a thought but a KBIG type Hot AC could be a good addition for Fresno. Upbeat with a boogie nights type show would be a good female demo. Maybe either 102.7 or 97.1 should give it a try.

La Kalle does sound horrible right now while 107.5 did seem to improve the processing. I think La Kalle could do well for the bilingual listener, but I think 107.5 just sounds like so many other stations in Fresno. Too bad as Vibe seemed to be building before the sale.

Just some thoughts...

107.5 showed up very strong in the November extraps, and, more than its own showing, nocked KFSO down by over 3/4 in 25-54.

107.5, even in its former format, has been shoing consistently for some time.

I haven't heard La Kalle yet, but is this even a 25-54 format? I thought it was 18-34 focusing on Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Spanish Pop, etc... with artists like Juanes, Don Omar, Mas Flow, Monchy y Alexandra, etc?

Kalle is not 107.5. And it is an 18-34 format, average age nationally about 27 or 28.

It is mostly reggaetón and hip hop, not Spanish pop.
