Fresno / Central Valley Fresno Translator Battles

I know that they don't include it in the TOH id. Can any confirm if it's even on?
dont have to..translators can ID via fsk, frequency shift keying, in audible to the human ear.. and many do these days

I will keep this thread alive as itmay come in handy at a future date.

I noticed today the Internet stream of KMAK is just playing music no air talent no ToH IDs, no commercials, etc. Anything going on with the KMAK over-the-air signal?

For just 72 watts KMAK has amazing civerage into Fresno Visalia and even Hanford.

Now the Shoutcast stream is gone completely. It had a tiny capacity, perhaps 8-10 listeners. Local--centric station , not big corporate radio

Back to 102.3 What is going on there? A brief check finds programming from KXEX, 1550am. But, not a direct simulcast. Totally out is synch, at least by several minutes. I think I heard an old KKDJ promo but no music, just the KXEX conservative political talk in the evening hours when I tuned in Friday, June 16.

A fill in translator for 1550 can be fed in any method possible, including a regular old webstream

They should sell it to John O. so he can put KYNO 940 AM on it, Music AMs need an FM translator more than a talk station.

...And I thought all the activity for rogue translators/LPFMs had gone from the Central Valley.
Some that have the mountain site like My 97.5 work well, 102.3 is in the center of Fresno is really only70 watts at80 feet, good in metro Fresno maybe 5 miles of so, comes in Clovis.
