Earlier this week, WKNR's Tony Rizzo, upon witnessing another losing effort by the Browns, tells listeners that he's "had it with sucking".

The Browns have stunk since they came back in '99...and weren't that great the final few years before Artie moved them to Baltimore.

Rizz going nuts may be great theatre (radio) to some, but to me it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...boring. Old, old news in my humble opinion.

Better and more pointed rantings on the Browns have actually come from Chuck Booms, and I don't know if that's really a good thing. Then again, I can't get Rizz's unbelievable "You don't like The Really Big Show? Change the damn channel!" meltdown last month out of my mind.

The Browns have stunk since I was 7 (1989), and they've given me no reason to root for them whatsoever since. I am strictly NFL-Agnostic.

In all fairness, long before 923TheFan went on the air, my listening time with WKNR had begun to really drop off due to their drift towards more entertainment and constant bitching than actual sports information and talk.

Of course I realize the WKNR folks were just doing what they believed was the on-air style that would lead them to the most success as a sportstalk station....probably what a consultant told them to do.

I'm really glad 923TheFan exists...as there's an alternative to the silliness.

My 2 favorite sports by far are baseball and basketball. So, since baseball is over for the year, and the NBA is still in lockout mode....I don't listen all that much to much sportstalk, but when I do it's 923TheFan....rarely WKNR. I actually did what Tony Rizzo asked us to do, basically: "if you don't like us, change the channel"...which is exactly what I did.
