Friday May 27th, Dance Music Day on FB!

Not a crime at all. Yet to me it would seem more effective to use such a day to push and promote outlets for Dance. Like internet streams, venues, concerts with DJ collaborations (that feature a variety with Dance). I see people post youtubes all day, and it rarely catches my attention.

And we are going to do that in weeks to come. We certainly want awareness of all of the dance music institutions out there. But at the same time, I also want everyone to have fun and be proud of the music. I certainly don't want the coalition to come off as "I am bigger than thou and you must listen"...heck, I'm a fan first and foremost :) People may like or hate what I do but heck, until my last breath on Earth, I will always do what I can for the music, above and beyond the call of duty.

To that, I have to say that the event was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!

Many people posted up videos from all aspects of the music; old, new, house, disco, etc and people were posting about their love for the music, which is really what this event was about....PRIDE.

The feedback I've received was positive. People not only enjoyed posting their favorite dance music videos up, but in many cases were reacquainted with a track that they haven't heard in a while and perhaps forgot about. If for some reason, any of that translated into a sale on one of the dance music online stores, then that's a good thing!

As such, this will now be an ANNUAL tradition, to be held on the Friday of the Memorial Day Weekend. To those of you in here that have participated....thank you! :)
