The Futon Critic is reporting on its website today(July 12th) that Nick@Nite has acquired all 236 episodes of "Friends" from Warner Brothers Domestic Cable as part of a six-year split window deal with Superstation TBS, which will also continue to air it when the new deal begins in the fall of 2011.

That's only 7 years after the end of the series. What a crock. We REALLY need another actual classic TV channel or two, not just Nick@Nite and TV-Land.

I wonder if TVLAND/Nick-At-Nite would be any better if it were owned by FOX, ABC/Disney, or NBC/Universal.<P ID="signature">______________

I wonder that too. And I also wonder when Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond will come to Nick at Nite which they will possibly do since they already acquired Friends which is already overplayed as it is. I wasn't too surprised that Nick at Nite acquired Friends since virtually every season is on DVD and it is on TBS and local stations and it comes on more than one time a day. Nick at Nite seems to enjoy putting shows that are still playing on local stations like Full House,The Cosby Show,Roseanne and Fresh Prince.

My predictions for Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond will be 2012 for Seinfeld and 2013 for Everybody Loves Raymond. What a thrill!!!{sarcasm and mad at the same time}

Married With Children would have been a better show to put on Nick at Nite than the overplayed all the time Friends.

Well you have to remember that all the shows that you mentioned still make money for both the stars and studios, plus they[Nick@Nite & TVLand] do get requests and imputs from fans on what they would like to see on both channels.

And already this deal should add to the pocketbooks of the six stars and to Warner Brothers as a whole: "Friends" has raked in about $944 million in off-network revenues alone.

Why do people really request for shows like Fresh Prince,Roseanne,and Full House on Nick at Nite when they are on on local stations and Fresh Prince is also on Noggin,Roseanne is on Oxygen and Full House is on ABC Family?? That really don't make any sense at all. Does Nick at Nite or TV Land for that matter pay any attention to what other people might want?? They act like they don't even care. Just rerun Fresh Prince,Roseanne,Full House and The Cosby Show till you get the episodes memorized.

The last season of Friends all 6 stars each received $2 million an episode. That comes to $44 million for each star,and in all it comes to $264 million altogether. I doubt Jennifer Aniston,Matt LeBlanc,David Schwimmer,Courtney Cox Arquette and Matthew Perry could care less about what they earn off of the DVD's or what they made in the past or how often their show is seen. Same for Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond. No matter how many millions Jerry Seinfeld and Ray Romano has made off of their shows,they still get overplayed to death over and over again.

Nick at Nite needs to bring on a show like Married With Children instead of thinking about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and the overplayed nature of the shows that they show.

Don't forget that "Nick" is a kids network. The original intent of "Nick at Nite" 20 years ago was to provide programming that adults could enjoy that would also not offend kids (or at least not be offensive to parents who know that their kids are watching.) I don't think "Married With Children" would fit that criteria. Although some of the content of "Roseanne" episodes are a bit questionable too.

Nick at Nite is also the home of Fatherhood,the animated version of The Cosby Show which is basically recycled episodes of Bill's show. I think I can tell you from which Cosby episode that each episode of Fatherhood is from. There are 200 episodes of The Cosby Show so there are plenty of episodes for Fatherhood to feed on. Also,Nickelodeon shows countless airings of The Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob Squarepants as well so it is not exclusive to Nick at Nite.

I don't think you can call Mad About You which is coming in 2006 a kids show. Home Improvement which is coming in 2007 you might call it a kids show. The Nanny which is coming in 2009 is sort of in between. Fact is Friends doesn't belong on Nick at Nite. If they can show Roseanne and Murphy Brown,why not Married With Children.

I can tell you what I would like to see on Nick at Nite. Shows like Growing Pains,Silver Spoons,One Day At A Time,and a whole lot of shows that haven't been seen in a while.
