Stosh, Kevin's already answered your question even before you asked it: a booster is the same frequency as the main signal. ;)

I live in Stroudsburg, I was wondering why 101.3 showed up on my car stereo using seek. It didn't make sense to me how a station from Scranton could come in so well. The booster has a decent coverage in Monroe County. Not as good as WKRF but still decent. I once heard a dealership from East Stroudsburg advertise on Froggy, so the booster obviously is doing Entercom good.

I listened on the way into work the other day. The signal was great on 80 however the signal became a little fuzzy once I got into East Stroudsburg. It was definitely more than listenable.

In a some what related note I just heard that Pocono 96.7 now has a signal on 97.3 in Stroudsburg/ East Stroudsburg. I must admit that I listen to Morning Edition on the way into work and the BBC on the way home (XM) so I did not notice. I am sure they need the boost as 96.7 is rather fuzzy in places in East Stroudsburg.

I noticed them on 97.3 before they made the announcement. The booster definitely helps so that small radios in local businesses can pick up the signal. Comes in crystal clear in Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg. I know the people at the salvation army in East Stroudsburg were complaining that they can only get SBG in on their in-store radio, not anymore!

Interesting. The 97.3 translator is owned by Family Stations and the primary station was WFME (now WNSH) but that was when FME was a non-comm which allowed them to have a translator outside their protected contour. When FME changed its status to commercial the translator was not allowed to rebroadcast the 94.7 signal.

The translator is 9 watts.

Pocono 96.7 has listed the 97.3 signal on their website.
