FROGGY 93

Is this Fred Dockins new FM at 93.5 in Perry? That gives Perry 3 country stations WPRY AM 1400,WNFK FM 92.1,and now this one.It could be a good situation considering the competition is a 1 kw. AM, and an FM simulcasting a Live Oak station. Did anybody win the 107.7 frequency for Perry in the last auction?

That kind of crazy in 1 small town of Perry Fla has 3 country stations I do know AM-1400 and 92.1 do u know they have a small tv station in Perry Fla. on channel 18??

My dad is originally from the Mayo, Fla. area not far from Perry. We drove by the WPRY
facilities several months ago.

There used to be another AM in Perry - WGKR 1310, which was also a country station.
It's been gone for quite some time now. That's the station all the Mayo folks used to
listen to.

I believe that WPRY still uses the old WGKR tower and studios. WGKR bought out WPRY/WNFK back in the 80s. They didn't find a buyer for 1310, so they just turned the license in, and moved the other facilities. Back at that time you couldn't own 2 AMs in the same market. The original WPRY was a nice facility, built from an RCA floor plan.
