Froggy is "Moving"

If you get a new car you probably will get Sirus or XM, at least for the first few months.

Regardless, I've heard Satellite isn't doing that well, either, but who knows.

In answer to your question, though, MsMusic, consider that country stations generally are listened to in more rural areas. Hence, their signal is best served as a rimshot than at 98.3.

This is probably too stoopid to get an answer, but why not sell one the others rather than 98.3? Still sounds like they abandoning Pittsburgh if they can't upgrade 104.3 to 50,000 as originally mentioned. I would expect that they will sell them all. Would PPM have anything to do with this? This whole thing with WAMO and now Froggy is just very disappointing. It makes one wonder who's next. Lately, I've been hearing Sirius in a lot of businesses. They have an AC and a Classic Hits formats perfect for businesses including jocks. Maybe terrestrial radio is slowly phasing out. It's like the way cable just destroyed over the air TV and the way traditional networks are just another cable channel now. Maybe I'll get Sirius in my next car.

Becuase that's the one the buyer was willing to pay the most for, and they needed the money badly.

About half of the Frogs' total ratings were for 98.3. Whether that's accurate (written down correctly in the diaries) is open to question, but they have to hope that those listeners will now migrate to 104.3. And as I said above, they sold 98.3 because EMF wanted 98.3, not for any reason related to their coverage.

I have heard K-Love, but if it plays Christian Soft Rock and Christian folk music rather than non-music preaching, it might get Froggy's listeners.

It does, and it might get a few of them, but EMF's agenda with this whole K-love thing is literally just to get it on every frequency they can. It's a mission as much as a business.

K-Love is kinda like the Christian version of an "AC" station.

K-Love had 4 translators in the Pittsburgh area. Can anyone tell me who lives there and can get them in if they are all Froggy country now? I do not live there.

They are 105.5 (downtown), 99.3 (north). 94.1 (southeast) and 97.5 (Monroeville). On the Froggy website they are only promoting 105.5 and 99.3. So I am curious about 94.1 and 97.5 as well.

K-Love was also on 106.3 in Unionville.

thanks

"If you go to www.radio-locator.com and click on the link for Bob Stevens' move-in of 103.1 from Waynesburg, the calls are WKVE and the website link goes to K-love....."

That is because the call letters for WKVE used to be on another K-Love station and Radio-locator ties together the calls and format but that way is very inaccurate. 103.1 Waynesburg, PA will not be K-Love as I asked them awhile back. Radio-locator would be better off not even listing formats and websites since there info is so bad. I do like their coverage maps though.

Since i am writing I see no one was interesting in answering my question. People are usually more interested in responding to gossip as 5 pages of this thread show but ask a simple question and I get no answer. But I asked K-Love and they told me the country station is only on translators 105.5 and 99.3 as the Froggy website says not 94.1 and 97.5. I just wanted confirmation.

My interest lies in that I like christian rock music but hate country music. I prefer K-Love's sister network Air1 but would listen to K-Love also at times.

Maybe no one KNOWS the answer... I don't. They're all low power translators, no one can hear all of them from any particular location. I can tell you that 105.5 is carrying Froggy.
