Froggy

There's a Froggy I hear on the Z Morning Zoo on Z100 up here in New Jersey (station is in New York) and now Froggy is apart of the show. I'm assuming it's the Froggy from the old Y100 morning show. This morning he did mention South Florida.

This must mean the Z Morning Zoo simulcast on Y100 is more permanent.

(Sorry if this has been talked about, I haven't been on in a while.)

YES - Our (Y-100) Froggy has been a prominent cast member of 'Elvis Duran & The Morning Zoo' since the simulcast began on Monday May 22nd 2006. He represents South Florida quite well on the show. Sometimes you may even hear Hurley on the show. Elvis mentions him all the time. He's also here at Y-100.

I think the simulcast was intended to be a permanent replacement for the local morning show all along.

While I had my doubts about this in the beginning, it seems to be working out well.

I also had my doubts back in May (before it premiered on Y-100). For the previous 19 years I had listened to every incarnation of '{Whoever} & Footy'. Each version of the 'Footy' show through the years had its particular strengths and weaknesses. I was sad to see the end of 'LIVE & LOCAL' to the Y-100 Morning Show. But Elvis Duran and his crew have done a great job since then, and it really doesn't sound like a New York-New Jersey based show at all to me. It's just a really well-produced and funny show.

I still have problems though with the voice-tracking from 10 to 3 out of Chicago. I also have problems with Y-100's heavily-repetitive music playlist. Me and one of my co-workers predict with near 100% success when we will be hearing Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" and Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" next. We basically just add 80 to 90 minutes to whenever we last heard each song, and there it is ! Guessing when certain hits will play next shouldn't be this simple.
