Dave Calabrese Named Citadel/Syracuse GM
DAVE CALABRESE has been named GM of the CITADEL SYRACUSE cluster, which includes Top 40 WNTQ (93Q), Rock WAQX (95X), Soft AC WLTI (Lite 105.9), and Sports WNSS-A. CALABRESE hails from the GM post at CITADEL's ERIE cluster.

Good Luck Dave, you'll need it.

He's a REALLY smart guy.Just ask him!
He's going to show you "small market types" how the big dogs play.

Where was he before Erie?

Is this the same Dave Calabrese who was GSM at The Zone in Rochester a few years back?

>He was at Citadel Syracuse 2003 -2004 and worked there for a couple of months. Not the brightest lightbulb in the box. Legrett likes him.

Is he brighter than Gomer? Is he smart enough to have a new morning show ready to go before he fires his old morning show? Or, is he at least smart enough to fire the moron who fires the old morning show before he/she has a new morning show ready to go?

Besides, how many bright "lightbulbs" would be "turned on" by the Citadel Syracuse nightmare anyway?

If he's like any other GM, he probably thinks he knows everything about programming, has the answers to every problem and has a ten ton ego. Standard equipment for any GM. If this guy's smart, the words, "Here's the way we did it in Erie" will never cross his lips.

The cluster has some serious warts. A new broom sweeps clean.

OMG! It's The Return Of The "YES MAN!"

OMG! It's that "YES MAN" that thought I was doing a bunch of stuff to them when it was actually Erin Bristol. This is the dork that called us up to bitch us out because he thought we were on the air telling everybody that 95X-fest in '04 was rained out. Erin was hilarious. She was backstage telling all those knobs it was us when it was actually her station. It was brilliant, but even more brilliant was the retards buying it. I miss Erin. Dog hasn't had a chance for success since.

Dave, Erin was in your head, and we all laughed at you because of it. You'd think Legrett would bring in someone, with, oh, I don't know ... "experience" rather than this "yes man". Just goes to show that it's Citadel just sitting around waiting to be sold.

Welcome back. "Yes Man"

Ahh,yes.How did that work out?

Re: Illumination

he was the sales manager for 95X brought in by Legrett. Company guy and not impressive. syracuse radio is really bad....nothing on that's any good. Wait till howard hits Sirius. radio listeners will be tuning out to local stuff.

Oh contraire! A 50% drop in ratings would make him a perfect candidate for this Citadel Critical Mission!

I'm holding out for the Brian Ocean Morning Madness stream coming in on my wireless-everywhere Internet connection. Is it up yet?

You mock, sir!

I understand Brian's been asked the "Is it up yet?" question quite a bit over the years.

Biggus, it's good to see that you're back. Your inimitable wit and style have been missed - at least by SOME of us...

You're too kind

You're far too kind. I'd still be in semi-retirement if not for the scribblings of "The Paperboy". Some people just never learn to let sleeping dogs lie.

I just figured that Election Day had passed, and you were taking a break from tormenting the "other side"...

Had enough of the witness protection program, eh?

That's right, Mike. Stop using random quotes. Start using different user names, like Ed_Levine, who's posted 175 times, but only 11 under the Ed_Levine alias.

So, "Ed", what other monikers are you using for your pithy, acute, and witty diatribes? Why all the name changes? Is it because you've been embarassed by your posts under the other names?

Yeah, before you rant about it, I do use a pseudonym. It helps keep me off the unemployment line and lets me call 'em as I see 'em - even about the company I work for. But, at least I use THE SAME pseudonym all the time. Just what is it YOU'RE trying to hide?
