Gospel KCLA-A (THE LIGHT)/PINE BLUFF, AR will flip to Sports using FOX SPORTS RADIO and PREMIERE's JIM ROME on AUGUST 16.

I think we should revise that to say....

Sometimes Gospel KCLA-A/Pine Bluff will flip to sports if they can keep the station on the air long enough to make the change. If MRS Ventures would not have made the station sound like it was being fed into the board via a cassette player, it might have given KCAT 1340 a run for it's money.

Now if I am KABZ I would be calling BS considering that a station 30 miles outside city of license was able to carry all of my programming. That should be a conflict there considering that Rome and FSR are already carried on a 100,000 watt signal.

So to put it in a nutshell, the gospel format of two years is going straight to hell for an all sports format? Must be another Andy Hodges suggestion telling the Dictator, "We need an all sports format." The Dictator replied, "How is a sports format gonna make me any motherf**kin' money?"

Obviously when I was working there, KCLA was ran through (get this) a Radio Shack mixer board (about 4 channels), a microphone, preferably a Radio Shack brand omnidirectional, I believe, an amplifier and a Realistic cassette deck. To sum that, KCLA's control room was some sort of a walk-in closet-type room.

I wonder what they will do about KOTN? Will they keep some of their programming on, or will it get any worse? Wait a minute......what if they moved the Light gospel format to 1490? Can you say city-wide WITCH HUNT?

Note to MRS Ventures: Have you checked your transmitter lately? It's leaking dead air!</P>
