Shocker! CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Rhythmic KOHT (HOT 98.3)/TUCSON PD R-DUB has announced his resignation and is moving his syndicated "Slow Jams" empire to RECIFE, BRAZIL, effective FEBRUARY 16. Until then, you can still reach him at [email protected].

That leaves a great PD/afternoon opening at KOHT. T&Rs, but no calls please, to RVPP TIM RICHARDS ([email protected]).

What in the world are you talking about???! DUB is a radio broadcaster. What has that got to do with pornography? ???
 
There was an incident in '05 where a boy found obscene images on R-Dub's website. Couldn't find the article online, but it was a big deal at the time.

What?! If what you say is true, isn't DUB's website owned and operated by Clear Channel? How did he not get fired for putting up obscene images in clear view for everyone to look at?

Plus as I recall, if any one DJ said much more than hell or damn on the air, they would be shown the front door. Are you sure this wasn't just a bad rumor to try and get DUB fired?
 
I cant believe this (the Old story of the website stuff) was even brought up?? I am interested to find out the process on how dub will
broadcast from Brazil. From what I've heard he will still be on his 41 stations with Slow Jams. Wouldn't that be a blast to broadcast from anywhere you wanted to live!
 
So sad Dub is leaving... looked forward to learning so much from him here in person, now it will be through e-mail ;)! He will be missed @ KOHT! I was able to work with him for 6 months and already he has made me a better personality! Given the opportunity to do what I love from my favorite place in the world, I would have taken it too!! God Bless DUB!!
 
Dub could have had any gig in the country. He is truly one of the best (for what he does) this town has ever seen. Professional, genuine, real and a nice guy. He recently told me he was welcoming all his radio friends in Brazil. Whatta guy!
