From Boston. WODS and WROR flips WWLI next

From Boston.WROR and WODS has flipped.I mean formats to All Christmas.I heard a promo on WPRO about Lite getting ready I believe this weekend.

And last week Lite's sales manager went live on air with Tanya Cruise asking potential sponsors to call his extension to talk about advertising on the station. You'd think a winning station in the market wouldn't have to do this but then

Re: Sales Managers at Citadel on air

It's interesting you mention that about Lite. I was listening to BUDDY last week and he had the sales manager of PRO on air talking about a "special event" and it turned out to be the Citadel 1-day sale. They set it up like it was a charity benefit or something. The sales manager actually said "today we're offering local businesses the chance to do something pretty special in the community". I thought it was in extrememly poor and seemingly desparate taste. Just my take.

Well, in effect, it means businesses are paying less for some advertising, meaning more money to devote tothe commuinity, but overall, I think it was a way to fill the logs.

In listening yesterday, I noticed Lite's ads were very lite....appears inventory was down yesterday as Tanya did s segue into Charlie's show, no stopset

Which would be a great reason for them to have a sale. Commercial inventory was low, might as well try to spark it. Some money is better then no money.

i was in a few stores doing some pre-xmass shoping this weekend and i heard both stations on in various stores..so i guess their plan worked. switch to all x-mass and get played in every store in the local malls!

With so many good & classic Xmas songs. You would think stations would go deeper. And not play Mariah Carey
5 million times a day.

Either he's disoriented by the Iway or being Thursday, he's sharing a wood grilled pizza & a bottle of chianti with Buddy at Wildfire.

Looks like WSNE went Christmas at 5 PM today. I haven't listened to see if they're saying it's just for the weekend or not though.
