From Cape Cod to Denver

Congratulations to Gregg Cassidy, former VP of Programming for Boch Broadcasting/Cape Cod, on being named the new Program Director for CBS Radio KIMN-FM (Mix 100) in Denver. This marks a return to the Denver market for Cassidy, who was the first Program Director for ALICE 106 back in 1995. Cassidy had succesfull stints in Milwaukee, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Detroit, and Chicago before taking the helm of News Radio 95 WXTK-FM, making it the number one station on Cape Cod for two years running, while giving Hot AC WCOD-FM the largest audience increase of any radio station on Cape Cod in his four year tenure.

It took someone from Colorado to know what the listeners of Cape Cod wanted from their local radio stations and he provided it and more for four years.

Good luck and continued success for Cassidy in Denver.

Gregg did a great job at COD on Cape and I wish him continued success. I think if Qantum could turn back time they would've (and should have) tried much harder to keep him around.

Good Luck Greg and continuing success to you!!!

Best boss ever... Denver is lucky to be getting him back. His knowledge will be sorely missed in the Cape Cod market...

Somebody tell Cassidy to go see a proctologist. he needs to have Hee Haw removed........

it means he's never had the privilege of working for someone whose work admired, and toward whom he feels a bit of loyalty. too bad.

I think it's sad. His joke was so awful, I didn't even understand it.

Well, truth be told, it IS a little anatomically confusing... but I think that means you have some taste, Cabbage Patch!! Good for you!! :)

It doesn't look like props & compliments are looked at with much favor here by some, which is too bad. I used to throw some out at random every so often but get the impression some look at them as lame so I've stopped. Too bad as in my 15 years in radio there was always trash talk & criticism behind the scenes but I just don't comprehend the need to bring it out in the open. People satisfied with where they are in life don't even think that way.

Amen, Runrigger. And I'll say this - I can't claim quite your number of years "in service" - I'm close though!! - but I've worked with a lot of people - and even those people I've worked with that I haven't liked (there haven't been too many, really - ) I find myself channeling from time to time - because I've LEARNED from them. Shame there's so much trashing that goes on - I guess it's because it's such an ego-driven business, and our egos are our most delicate parts...
