From KABC's Glory Days...

I saw you folks reminiscing about the glory days of KABC Radio, and I thought you might like to watch the "official" version of the look back at a time they'll never experience again.

This video was put together from, I must stipulate, the embarassing dearth of historical materials that survive from KECA-KABC (mostly, just old photographs and such), by the extremely resourceful and talented Howard Hoffman, for quite a few years their Creative Services guy. And yet, despite being a shoestring project, there's nothing here to apologize for... his work is phenomenal! Enjoy!

Nice memory, but the audience has changed, moved on etc. It would be like me wishing for the return of the CBS Radio Mystery Theater, which was I was a huge fan of. Network radio has changed. Music radio has changed. Talk radio has changed. And so has the local LA audience (and as David Eduardo is fond of pointing out, so has the demographic) .

This is 2011 not 1981.
