Movin Americana ???

For the love of God please do not bring yet ANOTHER americana station to the DFW airwaves. If anything, bring back the Oasis!

It sure look like they are reseaching for a format change, but then again, it could be nothing at all.

Seems like too much of a niche format for HD-1/FM. Since it is doubtful that they will bring back the Oasis - perhaps they are toying with an HD-3 station? ::)

I took the survey, I would'nt mind an Americana station with DECENT SIGNAL STRENGTH south of 635 or east of 820, something that played a mix of artists like Sun Volt, Wilco, Drive-By Truckers and Back Door Slam. Anything would be better than smooth jazz or Movin'

I agree....I would love for Wilco, Son Volt, Drive By Truckers and Ryan Adams to have a home here. The Drive By Truckers in particular are one of the elite rock bands going right now.

Too bad all we get here is lameass ghetto stations and KISS knockoffs. Id rather be in austin, at least we'd get a KGSR-type station with these artists.

Buc, Buc, Buc, why the s-bomb, ass is allowed as its in the bible ;) and, I like urban music as well, just dont like 14 different stations with the same format and none with my format....heres some more info on drive-by truckers:

Slam, you don't owe me an explaination on why you used the term "lameass ghetto stations" with the comment, "I like urban music as well". You said what you felt, and I said what I felt... ;)
