From News/Talk to Sports Talk

Have many PD's made the transition from running a news/talk station to running a sports talker? Is it difficult/common?

KABZ "103.7 The Buzz" in Little Rock has gone from a general talk (with Jim Rome and an afternoon sports program syndicated over the state) to a pure sports station. All of their programs have risen in the ratings, and the morning show just recently took the number 1 spot, even beating out a country morning host (and legend) in Bob Robbins.

The guy at the Ticket in Dallas ran KCMO (?) in KC before he moved back to Dallas...And from what I've been told, it's a realtively easy change-over...the concepts are the same- hiring good talent, identifying hot topics, recylcling audience, building TSL, etc etc...
