Who'da thunk it. Butch Stone, the former Black Oak Arkansas manager, music impresario and general wild card, is about to get into radio talk. Come to think of it, it's kind of a natural fit for the man of many opinions. He'll co-host the afternoon "No Holds Barred" show with Steve Freeman on wairadio.com starting Tuesday, from 1 to 4 p.m.

I think the health issue was mostly to blame for that....

mostly?

Did they have any listeners after the first day? I haven't had time to 'tune in' and find out since the launch.

They had one, at least! I tuned in the first day and a couple of times after that. Both Lyncho and Lincoln sounded great. It's amazing that Lincoln is still with us so it was a kick to hear him again.

23,000 and change on launch day, June 6, 2005, and averaging 30,000-37,000 per day since.David Koon's next article in the Arkansas Times has all of the official numbers. Ray Lincoln will still be doing some contributing work on WAI but health issues are keeping him from everyday duties.
