From the glory days of WBCN

You'd have to be fifty or over to appreciate what WBCN was " back in the day", IMHO the late 70's were the best years (was that the Hemisphere Broadcasting era, before Infinity?) but this is an interview done by Tracy Roche, and the guests are Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello, two of the giants of the day.

Edward Hyson is in studio too.

So let's go back to those thrilling days of yester-year, look at the board in the studio, and remember the glory days when WBCN owned the 12+ world.

I remember listening to BCN back then. Weren't the shows all 4 hours each?

6-10 AM Big Mattress Charles Laquidara
10-2 PM Matt Siegal
2-6 PM Marc Parenteu
6-10 PM Tracy Roach
10-2 AM .... ?
2-6 AM Nocturnal Emissions Oedipus

I've probably mixed some of these up.. :-[

They did do four hour shifts on both WBCN and WCOZ in those days. That was an interesting time,
because it was only right about the end of 1978 that WBCN finally began to beat WCOZ in the ratings...From the time that WCOZ flipped to AOR in August, 1975 until that time, they had consistantly beaten WBCN....
