I just got some new software to edit my airchecks at home, and I have some questions.
1) For those of you who have sent mp3s over the 'net, is it easier to send A) .wav or B) mp3? What is the best bit size to send? Can it be compressed before sending?

I have a 56.6 DIAL-UP.....it takes over 1/2 hr to download a 1536kbps mp3 (59.6mb), is that too big to send? It's about 5 1/2 mins long.

Good lord... What bitrate are you saving these files as? A five minute audio file can be saved at 128k and only take about 7 minutes on 56k dial up.. I always save airchecks that I'm going to email at 96k, though.. I save a master copy at 128, but have the emailed copy at 96.<P ID="signature">______________

MP3 is your friend. I like airchecks at 128k.

A lot of corporate e-mail servers have limitations on the size of any incoming attachment, so I would keep your aircheck to 5MB or so.

As an aside, unless you are an experienced morning show talent, 5.5 minutes is too long for an aircheck, in my opinion.
