While made in jest, this isn't all that far from the truth. Cable has been doing this for most of the past decade and the networks have mostly given up on Friday/Saturday primetime. Re-purposing shows was the buzzword circa 2005 and it wouldn't surprise me to see each network basically broadcasting 4-6 "original" shows A WEEK, plus sports, plus unscripted shows, supplemented by reruns. We really aren't that far from that already.
On ABC, the duty of producing sports falls to ESPN. On FOX, the same duty would fall on Fox Sports Net. On NBC, the same duty would fall either on Universal Sports or Vs.

In short, THE ONLY one of the "Big 4" networks that would have its own in-house sports department would be CBS (And even that is because Time Warner doesn't have the resources devoted to sports like they do with CNN & news).

Speaking of CBS, CNN & the news, can anyone here say CNN on CBS With Anderson Cooper by 2015?? The rate CBS News is going now, I think it's reasonably safe to say that if CBS bows out of or outsources the production of anything to another network, it would be the evening news.

Thoughts?

Cheers :D

You know "America's Funniest Home Videos" will still be on.

You forgot "Law and Order: Chicago", "CSI' Detroit" and "NCIS: San Francisco".
I think it will be the other way around with L&O & CSI. You forget CBS has a crappy (Not to mention NEWSLESS as well) station in Detroit. They wouldn't wanna promote that fact (CSI: Miami still uses RL O&O WFOR on occasion, though not nearly as much as they used to).

Cheers :D

This might be a hit. The NFL should have talks with ABC or the CW about starting a Sunday morning football game. It would start at 3 am eastern time and it would be a marquee matchup between two crappy teams from the previous season (with opportunities to flex i.e. Cowboys this year).
