Frosty, Heidi, and Frank Major Announcement

Yesterday, during the Frosty, Heidi, and Frank show, they dropped hints that they may not be on the air for much longer. It started when they said they will be making a major announcement during their remote 8th birthday broadcast from the Grove in Anaheim on Friday. A caller said right after that announcement, "Well it's been nice hearing you". Frosty played a funeral march on his keyboard. Then later when another caller was telling a story in which he said something that got dumped, Frank said, "What are you going to do if that got through, fire us?"

They are not nice people and deserve to be fired or demoted to overnights.

This amuses me, if only because talk radio used to have some pretty nice people on it and the trend in the past few years has been to program the most obnoxious people possible because they seem to get the best ratings...

You ever think that they might just trying to pull one on you, because that is stuff that people like to do...?

You've heard of "The Butterfly Effect"? Well this is "The Howard Stern Effect"

LOL, true, SRF, so true. It's everywhere.

It's all a scam. They are going to announce their new contract. They did this last time as well. Shocker! Next you're gonna tell me Clay Aiken is gay.

well, did they? I mean friday already came and went already...

I didn't get to hear Friday's show but they re-announced today that they will be on the air for one more year. Frank also launched his Frank Army web site. I thought employees got drug tested. Yet Frank openly admits he smokes pot. How is he allowed to do that?

maybe he was hired before they started drug testing? i dont smoke grass but dont mind that people do. as long as it doesnt affect his job performance or injure himself on the job it shouldnt be an issue.

should that happen..go to GNC, they have this drink... ;)

Perhaps his contract has a clause covering drug testing, or maybe CBS doesn't have a problem with it. People use a lot worse and still function without anyone being the wiser. I don't believe that KLSX is a union station, but I know that AFTRA used to routinely negotiate contracts with the belief that testing is against one's right to privacy.

...or the program is actually owned by a production company separate from KLSX and the station contracts with them to carry the show. That way they aren't technically employees of CBS per se...

I thought employees got drug tested.

I don't believe that there is a law requiring companies to test for drugs. And what if they did? He could just as easily have a prescription for medical marijuana. What then?

Radio personality smokes pot!?!?! OMG!!!

Now when pot smokes a radio personality, THAT'S news!

FHF did indeed sign a year contract (I guess gone are the day of the 5 or 10 year contracts). I read somewhere that they all took a 40% paycut which is really scary what is happening these days. But it may seem like KLSX itself may not be around another year.

I will never understand what some people see in this trio.

I am a fan of heavy persoanlity radio, and I am not easily offended.

I am, though, offended every time I listen to these clowns.

Why?

Because they violate the most sacred rule of this business. It reads:
"Don't be boring".

As I said, I fond them to be as dull as eating macaroni without cheese.

Is this what the 2nd largest market has to offer?

Sad.

You nailed it right on the head...BORING! An to boot, I heard from a friend that used to work at CBS Radio that they are all prima donnas that never talk to anyone in the halls and do the old 4 and the door. a 40% pay cut isn't enough. Maybe Jack Silver was banging one (or two) of them.

I got excited thinking that CBS gave Los Angeles an early Christmas present by sending these unfunny clowns on a permanent vacation. With the well deserved paycut this team got, maybe it would work to send them to the cornfield at night or on the weekends. At least I would not accidently come across them while changing the dial.

What else is there? I personally think they are the most entertaining radio show in L.A...and prima donnas...lol....you obliviously have no clue what you are talking about.

Alright "2wicky" with your first post ever....are you Frank or Frosty? I have no clue? You think THEY are the most entertaining show in LA????? I know for a FACT that fellow employees at the "world famous" Hollywood CBS Radio complex all think that FHF are full of themselves. They NEVER talk to anyone and are a little bit too arrogant for their talent. I will bet they don't make it through their contract...and 2009 will be their final year on KLSX.
