FSR Morning Extravaganza

With a good production staff, Ferrall will be a good listen. The posters at this board really know their stuff...and I wonder if they heard what I heard when the TO controversy was at its peak: Scott Ferrall, on his early Sunday morning FSR show, suggested that a reasonable penalty for Owens' trangressions would be his death. That's right, on the air (at about 7 am or so Eastern Time)...repeatedly, thru at least two segments, Scott Ferrall advocated the killing of Terrell Owens. I'm a big Ferrall fan, and have posted on this board to prove it. But he will need a good production staff...and a tight rein or else he will flame out in the bright light of national morning drive.

I am well aware of the supposed 'shock' value of what Ferrall said should happen to someone who committed the transgressions that TO has...but I guarantee that if Ferrall says this sort of thing on a Monday morning...at say 9 am Eastern...he will at the very least get suspended and perhaps even lose his job.

Sure he can say it was all in good fun...and that he didn't really mean it...but he really did cross the line...and I'm a believer in pushing the line as far as possible (I think!).

Did anybody else on this board hear what I heard? Anyone else with an opinion?

Didn't hear the T.O. comment, but I can tell you something else Ferrall needs to avoid. I've noticed that he's trying to re-invent himself, at least partially, as a sports handicapper. Unless you keep it light and brief, like Bruno with his Stone Cold Locks, thst makes for boring radio. Believe me, I bet a LOT on sports, but I could not care less who Ferrall likes, and I absolutely do not want to hear a bunch of callers asking inane questions like "My bookie has Notre Dame -17.5, and you're picking them -17, would you still take them -17.5, or should I buy the half-point?"

If you wanna be a tout, Ferrall, go scam people with a slew of different-priced 900 #'s like Chet Coppock, bit leave it off tthe radio show please.

scream, my occasional listens to Scott F. on FSR recently...his Saturday morning show was more-or-less devoted primarily to picking that day's college football games (against the spread) and his Sunday morning show was the same deal, only for that day's NFL games.

...did anybody catch Ferrall's maiden effort this a.m.? Comments?

> i took a chance and tuned in yesterday and he was on....the first 30 minutes or so were very intense...he barely took a breath...then he read lots of texmessages that were very unflaterring to say the least...he did several interviews..and sounded very professional for the most part...near the end of the show he again read some messages he had received and by then most were very flattering... he will be on again today...ferrall has said big news is coming..so i guess this is it...
