they basically did a 180 - flipping the end of hour breaks with the :30 breaks. there is a longer break before the end of the hour and then the stupid new "trending" update break. the :30 or so break is the same as the old end of hour break. i believe all breaks are hard now.
the new clock started a few weeks ago and has been hilarious to listen to. mike north and a couple of other hosts were so bad with the transitions that it made me actually laugh out loud. almost as bad as they handle the live reads that have unfortunately made their way over from bristol. fsr copying espn again. the live reads are an awful awful trend...
i never have understood the need to change clocks that much. i know its ad driven or research based but it seems reactionary and a suit justifying a paycheck.
I agree. The whole thing appears to be "over thought." I would have kept the top of the hour break shorter. It's when a lot of programming changes, and a short break is less opportunity to dial surf.
" Now trending " refers to a tie in with FS1 tv network. I think I read afyer Christmas they were going to start a subscription model using Twitter, FSR and FS1 FS2. Could be wrong...
