Full Disclosure!

Hey hey welcome back, Cyberdad. There's no place like home for the Holidays, eh?

If I may mix DX and hospital: Last October I spent 8 days in one, being treated for malnutrition, low blood count, high blood pressure, fainting, a touch of pneumonia, stage 3 cooties -- everything but Covid!
They decided I was a quart low in blood, too, and set me up with a transfusion. Wide-awake for it, I shrugged it off any discomfort by documenting the sensations on the laptop I brought along.
On the laptop I found a few of those SDR-things and, from PA, was enjoying KFQD 850 in Alaska at 12 noon. On the laptop I also got directed to 'Oldies & More' and have been there every Tuesday evening for Ron Stein's show and his Raaaaaachester NY accent.
One other minor feat: The nurse said I was the only one on the floor -- not only who devoured the serving of collard greens but to've asked for seconds.

Cyberdad, I’ve been a reader of this DX forum for years but post mainly in the Cincinnati forum. Though I’ve not posted here I feel like I know you all and enjoy the friendly camaraderie, a tone helped set by you. I started DXing as a kid and, while not hard core into it like back then (life, work, and raising kids kept me busy), I still enjoy DXing from time to time in my retirement. Primarily the AM dial. Anyway, I felt compelled to offer my thanks for your leadership here and wish you all the best in your recovery.

Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated. Like radio itself, once DXing gets into your blood, you never get it out!
