Fuller vs. Citadel

I was driving through CT yesterday and tuned in to 107.7... heard a liner that said "playing less commercials than Q105". Then I tuned to Q105 and they played 3 "hip hop/urban" songs in a row. Have the two parties moved their battle to the other frequencies?

Yes I know there's a feud between Citadel and Red Wolfe Broadcasting, but it's also not uncommon for stations to poke fun at one another like that.

When 93.7 went hip-hop their thing was 18 jams in a row. They'd say "We're in the middle of 18 jams in a row. The other station is playing commercials, again." The other station refreed to KISS 95.7

When 104.1 flipped from Moder Rock to Hip-Hop they launched 10,000 songs in a row and they'd say things about them being Hartford's Home of Commercial Feee Hip-Hop, daring listeners to flip down to 93.7 to check out the commericals.

Then last spring POWER 104 did a contest where if they didn't play 10 songs in a row, they'd pay a listener so money. 93.7 on-air response was 18 is better than 10.

I've never been a fan of a radio station referring to another by name... It's giving them a plug, even if they're trying to make it sound like they're bashing them.
