FUN 107 CHANGES

Erica Kay gone? I only know because I checked out the website so I don't know how long she's been gone. Also ex-Pro-FMer Will Gilbert weekending? That's why I checked out the website but he isn't listed as a weekender. Still, other than the morning show which I'm sure has its following, a better sounding station than Pro-FM. I often wonder if they were in Providence going head to head with the mighty 92 who would win. Heritage or quality?

I believe Will also mentioned Q102, but I may be wrong.

As for FUN vs PRO, I've alway heard different music on the 2, when I can get Fun in. Fun seems to stay closer to the hip hop/r&b style than Pro.

Will's doing work at both Fun 107 & Q105. He'd be a perfect fit for mornings at Coast with a female co-host.
As far as PRO-FM I was in an area today where the station was on in the background & I swear I heard them using "All The Hits" and calling themselves The Big 92, but I could be wrong with a lot of background noise going on. If it was the case & it's something new, it could be the effects of Cumulus taking over.

They have been using "All the Hits" on voiceovers for the past month or so. I don't recall them using "The Big 92" recently, however. I know we have discussed this in a recent thread, but the imaging has sounded great on PRO-FM lately. So has the music. There isn't such a blatant Rock-leaning edge anymore. Perhaps that is due to national CHR trends. But besides the voicetracking and the awful Ralphie Radio Show, the station sounds very good.

Yes, I read on Will's Facebook page that he is doing some work for both Q105 and Fun107. Good for him! What is wrong with the stations in Providence that they didn't hire him. Who is in charge at SNE? Put him on that station with a good female host (Jessica or maybe Bobby Joe) and you'll have a winner. Maybe for the first time in a long time. He was always great on PRO and by the sound of the morning show at pro he was the funniest one. That morning show now by the way is unlistenable. All fake laughing and jay and the other guy sound so bad on the air. If the new company was smart they would beg to have Will come back. Either that or have him do mornings on FUN. Someone in the area needs to wake up and quick.

Supposedly one of the reasons Will is gone is he wasn't up on social media. Hello? Check the pro website and the idiotic tweets from the morning crew. Gio has the origin of the F word. Kim hasn't tweeted in 21 days. Buff is tweeting Vezzy Parmesan about an intern. This looks like people being forced into nonsensical garbage no one cares about including them (or at least two of them). Will is active on FB and comes across as a regular guy with a regular life like the audience has. They replaced him because they wanted a shallow celebrity foot-kisser. And what is this trend on the trail of hiring club jocks to be on the radio? If anyone there needs to find a better place and act his age it's Gio so he doesn't have to play along with this kid stuff.

Those 2 clowns make it difficult to know who's talking. Ben is being groomed for bigger things, possibly to take the helm. The other one won't be around too long once some budget cuts come down.

How about Nelia at WJFD-FM, Radio Globo, the Portuguese station? She's the best morning host in all of New England. And she's live, not like that bozo at Coast 93.3 FM! ;D

"All The Hits" is a slugline that a lot of Cumulus CHR's use, particularly on WWWQ/Atlanta and their various "i-stations" around the country. In addition, look for new weekend programming to come soon. Cumulus just announced that they're picking up Kidd Kraddick's "Hollywood 5" for 40 of their CHR/Hot AC stations. I would assume PRO-FM and Kraddick morning affiliate Q105/New London along with WXLO/Worcester will run this show. And let's not forget about the various Billy Bush shows that air on Cumulus stations, including a weeknight show. See ya later Ralphie....

Maybe this don't count, or maybe it does?
"Open House Party" on "92 Pro FM" Open House Party seems to play a lot of great music, including a lot of Hip Hop. That's one of the hottest radio shows out there and been around since 1987. It used to be on KISS 108 here in Boston, but they havn't had it on since two or three years now. So when this show is on, that's when 92 PRO FM has most of their Hip Hop music played.
