Fun 107 Nights

Very disappointing to hear that Fun has started syndicating nights. Many thought that Townsquare, a smaller radio group, might mean more local content. That hasn't been the case.

And speaking of nights, is Cat Country ever going to get a night host? Is Bob Walker still voice tracking nights?

What is there to discuss?

No surprise. There really is not much to discuss about local radio. Except for 63 WPRO, most of the stations in the market are mediocre at best. It is bland, unimaginative and BORING!!!! (63 once again demonstrated that live radio is entertaining as well as an important public service on the day of the storm.) I Heart's stations are voice-tracked most of the time, even HJY. PRO FM and LITE 105 are tracked at night. (If John Tesh is supposed to be intelligent, be thankful if you are an idiot.)

At least the iHeart stations - well, Coast and 'HJY - are locally staffed. I agree about how horrible tracking is, but the jocks on Coast and 'HJY are largely doing many jobs at several different stations within the cluster.

Jenn is doing news for Paul and Al. But the news segments are much shorter than Kristen's news were. I'd guess that her news segments are pre-recorded. She's surely voice tracked during middays at 'HJY.
