FUN 107'S REMOTES

I swear if this station went dark they'd still find a way to get people out there doing remotes. Does anybody actually show up at these things? They just seem to do an awful lot of them and I know they pay the bills but God are they unlistenable. They've got some good people on the air there and they've got some bad ones but as far as I'm concerned it's lucky for them they're filling a music niche with CHR that leans towards dance and hip hop while still managing to sound nonthreatening white bread.

I must say, I'm a fan of the FUN 107 remotes and go on occassion. PLINKO! C'mon!

That may make you a fanboy but doesn't address the issue. I don't blame the staff for having to pimp the sponsors at remotes or on the air but I think the station just does too much of it and it interrupts the flow considering the format.

Remotes are usually part of an advertising package. So naturally it will take place during breaks. So I agree, this isn't a new concept. That's pretty much how it's done in ALL markets. As far as how many they do? It's revenue for the station.... Need I say more?? ;)

No, different Jen. I used to be in TV... Jen Caron. Now I am in the world of Radio! ;)
