FUN 107's Sharon hospitalized

According to the FUN107 website and postings on facebook.com, Sharon from the "JR & Sharon Show" in the morning has been hospitalized.

Last Thursday morning (8/20) Sharon from the FUN Morning Show had a serious medical incident and is now being treated at one of the best facilities around.

A further posting on Facebook stated she was at a Boston Hospital. No further details seem to be coming out, out of respect for her and her family's privacy.
 
and then why the need to post on RI? Because they didn't consult you if it was ok for her to get ill? Sharon, best wishes; but that was said already before anyone posted about it........

I would guess no further details seem to be coming out, because of that little thing called HIPAA.

It's in the paper. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. "Somebody on a message board wished her well in the fight for her life." Maybe they know something that we don't. Holy Moly this sounds serious! I'm not familiar with her, but I sure hope she recovers.

Not speculating or anything, but incidentally, another radio personality, "Big Jay" Sorensen, was recently rushed to a hospital; from what I read, it appears to have been caused by a "superbug". Again, just pointing this out because it is another case of a radio personality that happened to be rushed to the hospital. Jay appears to be doing fine, btw.
 
I do hope Sharon & Big Jay make a full recovery. This post got me thinking about how last winter everyone on the air/in the building at WPRO was getting
sick or coming down with some sort of flu like bug. Dan Yorke even mentioned about having to wipe down everything in the studio with Lysol wipes.
Seeing that opening the windows to change the air, is not an option for most radio stations. Besides Lysol wipes, spray, and using Purell. How can a studio be disinfected without harming all the electronics?

Germs are everywhere. People with OCD have it much worse. I just got a message from Howie Mandel saying that the Swine flu is supposed to be very bad this winter and that he's not even going to leave the house. I think he was half joking. But I know that half of him wasn't. You can just touch a public doorknob and get real sick. I've known two people to come down with Swine flu in the last 6 weeks. One was my girlfriend and another was a friend of mine over in England. Both have since fully recovered. It's suspected that my girlfriend picked hers up at the Mall. It was the only place she went that week before she got sick. It's scary stuff! I always have a bottle of hand sanatizer with me next to the computer. I should keep a small bottle with me at all times as well. I don't do that yet, but I will. Be safe out there!

Sharon unfortunately is not the victim of a quick recovery flu/bug....keep fingers crossed

The board is always full of assumptions. Does it matter if I followed Howie's tweet or if he called me on the phone? That wasn't my point. I have a feeling that you lost the point. Howie has sent me private messages before. Big deal. Who cares. I have plenty of celebrity friends. I'm not impressed with fame. Never have been. Never will be. People are people. As long as they are cool that is all that matters to me. I hope Sharon gets better soon. I'm sure more will come out in the near future as to what happened to her.
 
So Skynet, let me get this straight. The thread is about Sharon but you hijacked it to talk about yourself? As usual? We can follow you on twitter if we want to. There's no need to try to put the spotlight on yourself on this board.
