Fun Fantasy: Which Fictional TV Town/City Would You Like to Live In?

Ha ha, Genoa City, WI, is a real town, right across the Illinois state line.

Write-in #2: ANY fake sitcom military installation would be cool
I gotta amend this myself to say any PEACETIME fake sitcom military installation...Even though you'd get to drink with the gang at the Swamp, life at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital wouldn't be a whole lot of fun.

Although I do think THAT would be more fun than being locked up in Stalag 13 with Col. Hogan and the gang under the watchful eyes of Col. Klink, Sgt. Schultz, and General Burkhalter.

The heck with all of these - I'd like to be a kid in Mayfield USA, circa 1959! No crime, no gangs, no problems - with Friends Lake just up the road! Niiiiice....

No problems? Evidently you must skip over the episodes with Eddie

;D

Every town has to have SOMEONE like Eddie! Actually he was pretty cool - in measured doses!!!

What about the soap opera cities like ... Monticello (The Edge of Night) ... ?

I wouldn't mind Monticello, but the death rate there was WAY above average :D :D

Definitely would try Bay City (Another World), for sure....would be great to see how the residents act now that they haven't had cameras on them in 7 1/2 years ;)

Pick: I'd take my chances on Wisteria Lane. [EDIT]

Rant: TV has never got Wisconsin right. Milwaukee in "Happy Days?" Please. "Point Place?" Yeah, right. And don't get me started on "Picket Fences." That show lost me with a plotline about the courts ordering busing in of black students from Green Bay. The reality of it is like busing in Eskimo students from Hawaii.

[EDIT-offensive content]

I think I would like to live in Doodyville, although I think I mightbe living there now.

Why not the metropolis where Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman lived? It seemed like a nice city. Plus, I'd love to be able to read the Daily Planet every day!
:D

GREAT SCOTT!! You stole my thunder! Okay, I'll also say Gotham City as I liked the Batman TV series. That Wayne Manor was a serious crib (or pad as they used to say in the 1960's). Besides, one trip down the Batpoles and it's hello Batcave!

Now of course, there is such a place as Metropolis--in Illinois. But it has been called that mainly for the Superman Festival held there. Oh, and the name of the paper--The Planet! Now if only they could have WGBS Radio, then it would all be complete.

I don't suppose the Andersons from "Father Knows Best" and the Simpsons ever cross paths in Springfield--obviously they are from different social stratas. Jim Anderson worked at "the office" while Homer Simpson worked at the nuclear plant. And Bart and Kathy "Kitten" Anderson would surely make an unlikely couple, even though they are in the same age range. Though both families live in Springfield, their "family values" are quite different....

My #1 Choice would be Raytown, I would like to hang at the Bigger Jigger and swim in Ray Lake and at the Ray River. And Hang with Bubba.

My fantasy TV places to live:

Mayberry (The Andy Griffith Show)

Bedrock (The Flintstones)

Raytown (Mama's Family)

Bikini Bottom (SpongeBob Squarepants)

Oops, I forgot Hooterville, on Petticoat Junction and Green Acres plus some episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies when Granny went to Hooterville to take care of Betty Jo Bradley and Steve Elliott's baby and in another the cast members of the three shows got together for Thanksgiving.

Another fictional place I would like Springfield on The Simpsons. All those citizens there are funny.

Or shop at the Raymart or Ray Mall. Afterwards, watch some TV on K-RAY-TV. On Sunday, be sure to attend services at St. Ray's Church. Jeez---I love the corny humor on that show...
