Fun question

Everything about B101 is awful...

Then again, I'm not in their demo.

(WAEB is owned by Clear Channel / WEAZ-FM Broadcasting)

WAEB and B 104 are Clear Channel stations. They bough them from Capstar years ago.

Yes, B 101 targets women...typically a 40 year old female. That's what they're about and are without a doubt one of the best sounding and run stations in America. It is one of those stations that it would be a dream to work for.

As a guy I dont mind the B. Its sad that they dont stream though, I think they are behind the loop when comes to not streaming.
Its expensive to do I understand.

They did stream at one point. But Jerry Lee decided to make a point about the ridiculous streaming fees at the time. Yes, I wish they'd stream also but it doesn't look like it's hurt them.

Sure doesn't. Besides aircheck collectors like me to give them that station, as you can't hear it unless they are either in the area or get airchecks

formats that surprised me were
WYXR to WLCE
WJJZ to Rhythmic AC
WYSP to free-fm
You'll recall these particular stations at the time had been around for what seemed like ages.

All well and good, but hardly an indication they're doing anything "wrong" when it comes to executing on their business plan.

98.9 from Country to Urban and then keeping the call letters for all this time!

WXTU goes better with a Country station with no name than WUSL goes with the word "Power".

And the rumour was around for awhile about the switch to Country.

But, in principle, I see your point and agree with it.
