I personally think this song is going to be huge. I like it it's like a mix between Fall Out Boy, Panic!, and bands like MGMT, The Naked and Famous, Foster The People. Anyone know anything at all about Janelle Monae? Let's hope to see this song push her career too.

I think it has a good shot at CHR. "Glee" covered this song in October or November, so there is probably already a certain level of awareness in CHR's target demo, since "Glee" is one of the more popular shows in the 18 to 49 category.
(For the record, I don't watch it but I turned on Fox to watch "New Girl" and caught the end of an episode. Strangely, I was watching something as it aired live)
Some of the rhythmic friendly CHRs may be slow to add it, though, because it certainly isn't an uptempo hip hop or electro song, but I still imagine it will peak around #10.

I really don't think this has enough of a pop structure to do anything at CHR - seems like the kind of "art rock" done by Queen, The Who, etc. back in the 70s
For Fun's sake, I hope they don't get compared to the Who too much- or at least they'll be ruining a Super Bowl halftime show in approximately 2037...
All joking aside, didn't one of the Super Bowl commercials feature this song? Certainly that level of exposure can't hurt either. Look at how the Darkness is charting on iTunes again after their song appeared in a commercial.

Yeah it did...and last I checked We are Young was currently number 2 on the itunes chart...if radio programmers are watching could be a surprise hit.

Still I think the powers that be thought Madonna would have the #1 itunes track...not some decent size alternative hit that was trying to earn a bit more money through a superbowl commercial.

Anyway...back to what the topic was....I saw Fun was #1 on i-Tunes the other day. Congratulations to them.
The FIRST thing I thought about when I heard this song play on our local rhythmic top 40 station was of you guys. I had no idea that there was already a post for it, or that people were even fully aware of this song yet. Now I just wonder how long it'll take Gotye to cross over. I also doubt that it's over for Coldplay.
I thought I'd dig this up since the song climbed from 10 to 7 on the airplay charts this week, and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

I don't think anyone would anticipate it either, considering it was played on Indie stations like "The Indie-Verse" first (I think that's where I first heard it before making its debut on "106.1 Kiss FM, but seeing that it was on an HD3 subchannel, it wasn't showing any song information). Then with an episode of "Glee" and that Superbowl commercial, it gained popularity.
