Stations were bought and sold by big companies long before 1996. It may suck, but it's nothing new. For the umpteenth time...it's a business.

More reason why I hate the Act of 96. Big Companies come in, and trash a good station and then sell it( and who cares about the people, whom listen to that station).

97.7/1090 Awful Ownership killed it ( Radio One Sucks )

Only the largest most successful black and urban radio broadcasters in the US.
Radio One station are only good in D.C.,Baltimore and Atlanta. That it . Radio One suck here and L.A(sold),MN(sold),Ohio,NC and so on.

Well, I guess that explains why Radio One has made millions over the years...and RapKing has made......?

As my mom used to say:

"You have to distinguish between what you need and what you want."

Boston desparatly NEEDS a Rhythm AC station.

Why? What will happen if we don't get one?

Will air polution increase? Will crime go up? Will it bring the price of gas down?

What you should be saying is:

"There are a few of us "one-note Charlie's" who would like more ethnic-centered formats on the air...".

I make a good living and Radio One stocks, are dropping like Raid spraying on bugs.

I think it's funny that you blame the buyer and not the seller. Not that I feel that you should blame either cause I'd do the same thing but i think it's odd you blame Radio On but not Nash.

Radio One is the Radio ownership whom F--- it Up ! If I sell you a house, and you become a Slum lord, Guess who get the blame?

If you own a local station and sell it to a major corporation. Whether your Jack Campbell, Ed Perry or Nash you have to expect that the corporation will have to do what's best for it's stock holders and not the local community. It's just that simple. I'm not blaming them for selling but it's certainly not Radio One's fault.

WBCN,WAAF and WFNX was good ten years ago( Now Garbage ).WBOS Flip to Garbage .Thank God, I live on The South Shore, and I can pick up good rock stations, WHJY and WBRU From Providence R.I.

And the Liggins family has already made their millions...and made enough to keep generations of little Liggins's going to elite schools.

And you, being the great radio businessman you are......?

Entercom buys them...shuts off the format, and simulcasts another station!

Yet Radio One...that risked capital, purchased the station, did the format that Rapking wants...is the one to blame, right?

This is Rapkings problem, he doesn't accepts the basic tenets of business and the free market.

He doesn't understand that people who put up the money and risk it have the say in the company.

He doesn't understand the difference between wants and needs....

Exactly how I asked in the begginning, please don't put me down. Just because I leave an idea here, doesn't mean you have the right to put me down.
Have interested free events around the city, like a Meet and Greet with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnet, another example, have free music concert events around the city, give free gas away from Shell on Friday mornings.

Regarding your (not good) attitude putting me down by asking about the Crime, ask the people who do the crimes, don't ask me, don't put me down like this.

I just give a good ideas here, please keep bad thoughts to yourself
