FUNLOVIN 770

Yes. Frank Powaski, who has been on the air for over 40 years, does a Polka Marathon every year. It starts on 770, then switches over to 620 in the evening, and goes until the next morning. It's a blast, including live bands in the middle of the night.

Why isn't the brokered stuff all on 770 and 620 is music 24/7?

770 is not as powerful as 620. Also, the brokered programming, particularly the health shows, have been established on 620 now for over a decade. (In fact, Dr. Winer predates the current format.)

It's difficult to do a music format on a standalone AM these days. It was difficult back in 1996-99 when 620 tried it. That's part of the reason the station switched to brokered programming.

I know, but yinns at 770/620 know how to get oldies to sound right and you have a great sense of humor. I wish you could put a major signal into Pittsburgh. FM would even be better. The doo-wop on 770 is also done right and the only thing missing is a 40 year old Porky. After you get a major signal, stream online so I can listen here in Tampa too. You go Clarke!
