Funniest GEKCO Commercial

My personal favorite is the drill sergeant ( played by R. Lee Ermey) pretending to be a psychiatrist.

"Jackwagon" replaces dweeb in the american vocabulary. ;D

I like the one where he is wearing glasses and starring out his office window at night. I still he is way funnier than the singing dolt from NationwideSAM or something equally clever.

I like the little piggy hollering "Weeeeeeeeee" all the way home.

I've seen some wood chucks chucking wood (only a few times) and that was OK also.

My favorite (among TV ads employing the gecko) is the one where he pulls a wallet out of nowhere, leaving the boss confused about ... well, where the wallet came from. Another good one is the one where the GEICO gecko is meeting with a number of (non-anthropomorphic) geckos in the jungle, trying to get them to hawk GEICO.

Same here. ;D

Like another poster said, get rid of the gecko and replace it with the pig 8)

My vote is with the drill sargeant, with second place to Elmer Fudd and third place to Honest Abe. The gecko wallet one isn't bad, but other than that, the gecko has pretty much run its course and should join the cavemen in retirement. Honorable mention to Charlie Daniels - "That's how you do it, son".

They did 15- and 30-second commercials featuring Randy Johnson. I've only seen the 15-second one on TV, but I think the 30-second one is a lot better:

When the pig commercial comes on, I turn the channel. I'd rather watch Flo hawk her insurance.

The Elmer Fudd spot is hilarious. At least it addressed his problem on how to pronounce the letter "R" correctly. Too bad the "poducer" started to "wubbed" him "the wong way."

This is not the first time GEICO used cartoons in its ads. Previous spots include "The Flintstones" and Speed Racer."

I've been smoking Winston cigarettes based solely on cartoon ads well before that!
Thanks Fred and Barney!
Now, if only those dames ever finish doing the yardwork and their "womanly" chores.
Am I right, guys?

Its too bad I don't smoke. But they started out as a "Adult Cartoon" way before Fox and Adult Swim came into being.

I'm surprised that after 50 years the only place you'll find The Flintstones today are on cereal boxes and childrens chewable vitamins. Hanna-Barbara was smart enough to make sure the "modern stone-age family" became family-friendly after Pebbles came into the picture.

That's the worst one of the bunch! He should have been dropped off at the nearest Denny's, with the woman saying that they were making breakfast for him.

OK, I meant "with him," not "for him." ;D

I gotta go with the drill sergeant ad being the funniest one. The pig ad is the most annoying ad I've seen them produced. It wasn't even funny the first time I saw it. The caveman ads were okay the first time around, but I generally liked the gecko ads. Well, I can see how people would get tired of the gecko character though.

Little Richard translating the story

"Look out! Look out!"
"Help me! Somebody help me!"
"Mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce...wooooo wooooo!"

I'll vote for Elmer then the Gunny. Runner ups include the gekko putting the prez's first dollar bill into a vending machine and the prez doing the fall-back trust with the gekko.

I do wish GEICO would retire that stupid gecko.

Most of you already know my thoughts about that stupid ditzy spokeswoman for that other auto insurance company...
