Funny Numbers From WJQB

I think what's interesting is the marquee on the first slide advertises the greatest hits of the 60's and 70's. That's my big sticking point with that station now-- way too much 70's music. If you really are "TRUE oldies", you need to stay with the 50's and 60's and keep punching away at the baby boomers who are not (nor do they want to be) living the "retirement" life their parents did.

As for the JQB quote, I've seen this ad for several weeks and it was obviously done before the winter book came out. But JQB in 12+ has hung around a 1-share for most of its existence in Tampa and posted its lowest numbers I can remember (actually tying sister station WGUL!). If the PD is trying to pull a fast one, in the words of one of those artists and songs I hate hearing played on that station, "You're So Vain..."
