Funny Steve LeVeille Last Night!!!

Wow, have you guys been listening to Steve lately? Last night was pretty funny, especially the fact that he kicked the vending machine upstairs & probably broke a toe! ;D

He has been "different" over the last few months - there is a marked change in the direction of his broadcast; have any of the listeners picked up on it? I sure hope it stays this way for good. The generous amount of "open forum/lite", even on political discussion nights is definantly the way to go, as far as I am concerned.

Keep at it Steve! :)

I've picked up on a few things. There's some stress palpable. I just wish he was voting for Nader yet again. I wanted BZ to have a perfect record of never having any host or prime news guy (like Gary) to have ever voted for a Democrat, in the post Peter Meade era.

Yeah, Nader would have been a good choice for Steve! ;D At any rate, I figure he's doing ok as long as he doesn't start with the "Look it, Look it,", and the "I'm gonna finish this sentence with or without you, moron". A little of that goes a long way... ::)

At that point, I, and alot of other folks start tuning out. It is obvious by the lack of callers on the lines at that point. Politics seems to bring out the worst in some people...

Steve is an interesting and bright guy.

But when I listen to him, I get the impression he has some disdain for his callers. (And to be honest, his callers don't sound like the brightest bulbs on the tree.)

I hear in his voice frustration with some of the callers.

I also get the impression he is a bit fatigued from that shift.

$.02

LOL - I agree with all of the above. ;D

To be fair to Steve, I know he has mentioned that he has been dealing with a good bit of physical pain for some time now, so I am sure that affects him and his disposition. Still, you do have to try your best to "reign in your emotions" when dealing with the public. If you dealt with customers that way in a retail store, you may soon be out of a job.

Good observations, though. A poster in a previous thread also mentioned that BZ has had a lock on the "Blue haired crowd" for many years. Just another observation...
