Tuesday afternoon, on the sports show hosted by the Train Wreck (Furman) where the obvious topic was the new manager hired by the Reds, what does the Train Wreck talk about? Cooking with some French Chef.

At least he didn't interview the guy who runs the Fairfield pizza joint a week ago.

Irrelevant definition: ...having no probative value upon any issue in the case.

i actually agree with this. i hop in my car for home between 5:20 and 5:40p each day, and 90% of the time andy has some d0uche on that has nothing to do with sports. or the sports medicine chick. hate to say it about someone with real talent, butt i don't think the furball has the fire in the belly anymore.

How odd. I heard Furman talking about it on my way home that day, in fact, positively ranting about it. He was concerned that if Mackanin finished the season over .500, he'd be hired. Maybe the bile in your system is clogging your ears.

Instead of listening to something you hate, though, perhaps you should find a hobby?

I understand fine. You stated that "Cume-less will do that to you". Again, care to elaborate? Enlighted us that dont know how Cumulus works.

Here is how Cume Less is operating in Indy (Click on the link that features the RVP)

"It's a scene straight out of Glengarry Glen Ross.

The new Cumulus Regional Veep, Gary Pissati who likens himself to a tiger is marking his turf on Shadeland Avenue. In his last Indy visit...he made sure to let everyone know that his body count is not totally complete and although five old susquehanna sales managers are now road kill he's stalking his next victim.

For more info on Pissati the tiger, check this out:
http://chronicle.augusta.com/stories/100200/abc_radio.shtml

When Pissati left town last week the staff played Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. If they were paying attention, the munchkians sang the song like this..."Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. Which Old Witch?" This is the real question...who will be Pissati's next kill. Cumulus loves the Tiger. Any guesses?+

The word is "enlighten". And the name of the game at Centennial Plaza is to suck the fun and passion out of everything they touch. JC, you've been in the biz long enough to remember when this was a fun job for which you thought it was a crime to get paid. That no longer exists. Not in Cincy.

Enlighted=not paying attention as I type, sorry about that. Do you think Cumulus is any worse than any of the other players in the market?

Yes. And it's true all over. Look at the threat on the Dallas-Ft Worth Board on the Wolf ("Daaaa Wolf") Search Indianapolis, any of the other former Susquehanna markets. I got a laff from the thread on the DFW board "Common sense is not their strong suit" Understatement of the year

I often wish I could roll the clock back to the eighties. We had a blast back then. It must be real sad now.

Is that Furman in wlw's new brennamania videos?

Does anyone have the real "inside scoop" on what happened with Andy and WLW? I can't believe calling T.J. a racist adds up to getting fired on its own merit. Look at Cunningham. I also hear it was just an excuse for CC to cut $$$. There are as many stories as there are people willing to tell you one.

I've always liked Andy. Even back to his WLWT days in the 80s. His show now, unfortunately, is awful. He doesn't need in studio help. His guests are pathetic.

It hurts a lot when your station is NOT the station carrying the games. Maybe 96.5 can carry the Cyclones or Florence Freedom. Class B teams for a Class B station. Not meant as a dig, per se, but, what else is left that CC doesn't have, and isn't high school?

It's really not my place to share what I know from Andy, but I think I can safely say that it wasn't a personal vendetta on one side or the other. Knowing Andy after hearing him on the air for many years, I am always floored by the honest gentleman that he really is. Go ahead, argue, trash him if you want. Andy's a stand up guy. It's Andy's call to disclose the details, lawyers not withstanding.

In closing, I think you can thank Janet Jackson and her poorly planned publicity tit stunt for Clear Channel's actions regarding Andy. If you need convincing, witness the new FCC fines that come into place July 20th. Uncle FCC is about to carry a VERY BIG stick. Andy was a victim.

Those fines have been in place fore a year. Also Andy didn't say anything that would have resulted in a fine or even a succesful lawsuit from TJ. Finally it's over with, why dwell on it, he's moved on, WLW has moved on, and if Supertalk ever starts gaining in the book then we could have a fun station battle not heard since Kiss signed on and went after Q.
