Furman Writes

Andy Furman, from Supertalk FM, also writes a weekly column for The Downtowner, a weekly paper distributed in downtown Cincinnati and Northern kentucky. In his column in the August 22nd edition, he takes a shot at Tracy Jones and his "staged" callers, such as Richard from Indian Hill and Rod from Norwood, and also gets a shot in at Alan Cutler. Wonder why Andy never did this when he worked at "The Big One".

Looks like you just discovered that radio is full of phonies.

I know why he never did this when he worked at 700, my point is he should spend more time trying to improve the quality of his show rather than criticize other hosts. Andy's show on 965 has not exactly been the most interesting sports talk since he moved to Supertalk.

From Yahoo!: Scientists have discovered a spot in space that contains absolutely nothing at all.

Science must have discovered 96.5 ;D

When Andy critiques 'LW in the Downtowner, even when he has a decent point to make, it looks like sour grapes...disgruntled former employee. Those swipes would have more clount coming from someone without an ax to grind.

If Furman is lashing out at others it may be because he got screwed when he got fired.

The management in that building had defended and "fixed" worse infractions for others.

Maybe Furman has a "me against the world" attitude.

He's a bit of an eccentric, too.

Any chance it could be that Andy is utilizing the 96.5 marketing budget to the best of his abilities?

If the station doesn't make a move to become real, with a direction and a sense of purpose, it'll go the way of Bob, The Revolution, Oldies 1530, The Source, all the Mix "directions," Oldies on WGRR--formats that don't deliver what listeners want die on the vine.

The grapes that rot leave opportunities for displaced talent to sip the vinegar of pissy, not savor the champagne of victory--or at least survival...many end up with a 40 in a brown bag.1

Grind your own axes and enjoy the holiday weekend.

Mike in Fairfield and now all of a sudden "Brad"...No Andy's on the up and up....

If he put as much dedication into show prep as he does in bashing his old employer he may have something.
