Future of Baseball broadcasts:

Blackrock said:
It is probably inevitable that baseball radio broadcasts will go to a 100% subscription model," says Larry Rosin, president of Somerville, N.J.-based Edison Media Research. "It might take five years, 10 years, 20 years -- but nothing can stop it. It will happen because there's too much money in it not to do it."

It's kind of sad that broadcasts of Major League Baseball as most of us know them might be coming to an end someday. And even having multiple stations on a given team's radio network may not be enough to stop an all-subscription model from coming, especially if fans are well outside of that team's territory. But then again, that's the sign of the times within the radio industry in general.
