Fuzion 100 Morning Move

It has been announced the morning sports talk show on Fuzion 100 - currently the only such show on the station - will be moving from the 7 to 10 time period to the noon to 2 time period in several weeks. Doug Amos and Josh Moon began their stint together at Sports Radio 740 (WMSP) during this time period and will be moving back to it on Fuzion 100.

This raises several questions. Is a format change in the near future for the Fuze? Is Finebaum headed there as a follow up show beginning at 2 PM? Will the Fuze (nearly) duplicate the formatting of WTLS Tallassee - with a noon to 2 sports show followed up by Finebaum, music at night when not preempted by Crimson Tide Sports? Is a morning talk show in the works as well?

Just made April 24th (or whatever the 90th day is) more interesting

New AMD show has already been announced. It's.....wait for it....Leslie Bailey and Mike Reynolds (with the GMan). No, this is nor a joke. No it's not sarcasm. It's actually real. It's going to be called: Fuze And Friends. Couldn't make this up.

I knew this presentation was going to be train wreck.

This all over the map format thing, isn't cutting it.

I hope they can find something that'll work for them.

Jut my two cents.

P.S. Here's the latest info on the changes at Fuzion. http://www.fuzion100.com/home/

For once I agree with you Buster. One has to wonder how bad the finances really are when the owner is doing morning drive. Smells like desperation to me.

Still being told by various people here, that this (Con)Fuzion format isn't their cup of tea.

Mr. Mike is still getting many protests from this city.

Hate to say it but I believe (Con)Fuzion has just suffered it's derailment.

Hope they can recover from it.

Now for a serious question.

Come Monday, Fuzion is making some changes to their program schedule, as everyone reading knows.

Here's the question, if these changes don't succeed, then what will Fuzion do?

Just wondering.

Well, it's getting harder for Fuze to "backtrack" to Country. They'd be the 3rd Country station in Montgomery to two big dogs, and now, the second Country in Selma, after having pissed off every Country listener in Dallas county. Good move mike. How's that mill and a half debt sitting now?

Scratch those thoughts I had.

Here's some new ones.

Fuzion 100.1 may not stay Fuzion much longer.

If these new changes don't work out, I see them going to an all non-musical presentation.

Yes Mr. Gower, the Country audience here is still mad at Mr. Mike but thanks to Alexander Broadcasting, they have them a new station to enjoy.

Taking bets. How long will Mr. Mike continue to pay Bill Jones, the driving force behind the FUSION? Most of the Selma's business people have turned off the Fusion and taken their radio business elsewhere. Montgomery business men know that that station does not come close to covering Montgomery. Certainly they did not spend 1.5 million to build the 500 foot tower and transmitter plant and locate a studio in Montgomery.

Not too sure about the spending part but the remaining part of your post is spot on. ;)

...And I don't see Mr. Mike doing it much longer.

I believe that relationship might end, within a matter of time.

From what I was told today, by my barber, WDXX changed because Country wasn't doing too well.  Mighty strange words indeed, seeing that Kix is a hit right out the box.  Something sounds strange indeed.  I'm still not getting the real reason why Mr. Mike made that change.

Even had a few people to tell me, in that same facility, that they was no longer supporting Fuzion 100.1 FM.  This radio station, since changing formats, has ticked off too many people.  Some of you reading might support the presentation but most of my hometown is still upset with Mr. Mike and company.

I know that if my friend Mr. Paul can sell Country on a 250 watt repeater station, then Mr. Mike should've had no trouble selling it on a full powered 50,000 watt station.  Something about this change at WDXX, still smells foul to me.

What say you Mr. Gower or anyone else reading?

I'm sure the costs of running a translator are minuscule compared to a 50 kW stick. Even if you include the (recurring) license fees for the HD system, it has to be cheaper. But I find the concept of difficulty in selling country anywhere in this state to be, erm, curious, at best.

Now for something funny.

Taken from their own Facebook page.

The New Fuzion 100 wants to know what is on your I-pod? We already play just about everything, but we have to be missing some. Let us know what your favorite songs are and help us build YOUR radio station! :D

I can't seem to think of any songs for them to play now.

Can you think of any Mr. Zach, Gower or anyone else reading?

Maybe your smart minds can help them stay afloat.

I would be happy to supply them with a list of my favorite songs from my non-ipod but I doubt anyone wants to hear K-pop hits mixed with electronic and Jerry Reed. :p

K-pop = Korean version of J-pop?

Zach said:
Yes. I have a smattering of it (including one Korean rap CD, lol), along with some J-pop and J-rock.

I bet your an Anime fan too...

Until today I was ignorant enough to think that Japanese and South Korean pop culture were the same thing. Didn't even know they spoke different languages...

I think it's pretty safe to suggest that all comercial Alabama radio stations stick with North American and European music. Don't really think Asian would work anywhere except Bayou La Batre... you know, that town OBama can't pronounce.
