Stephanie Hockridge of ABC15 is a great stand up reporter and anchors better than others who have the gig fulltime. However her math was way off Tuesday night when she asked Sheriff Joe to respond to his 9,000 vote margin over Paul Penzone. A startled Arpaio repeatedly questioned the 9,000 figure and became even more combative than his usual senile self. Hockridge held her ground and insisted his "landslide" was only by 9,000 votes. But back at the studio, Katie Raml and Steve Irvin put the totals on the screen. Arpaio won by 90 thousand votes, not 9,000. Oops. Guess the ABC15 employment app doesn't delve into simple math.

A few weeks ago, ABC15 did a story about fast food times and the winner was Wendy's at 2 minutes and 10 seconds. The runner up was listed 20 seconds slower and was listed on the graphic as having a time of 1 minute 50 seconds.
Could be the same genius.

I've noticed a number of job postings for ABC15 on the front page of TVNewsCheck.com. I'm not surprised that their news department is understaffed - look at their syndicated programming inventory - a selection as thin to the bone as you can get (someone better tell them they can't survive on the Bob Sullivan-mandated shows alone).

This was a national survey done by some group (which means every station in town had this segment in the first half hour of their evening news). The story came out by saying the average time for Wendy's was 129.xx seconds (2 min 10 seconds when you convert) and that the next best was 20 seconds slower.
That meant somebody had to take off their shoes and start counting and came up with the second fastest time of 1 min. 50 seconds.
This was only posted on the graphic for the story at both 11am and 4pm. The anchor reading the story only said Wendy's 2+10 and number two twenty seconds slower.
